Many copywriters or freelancers will say you will need to focus on a particular niche.
However, I believe that you’re better off being versatile.
Being versatile doesn’t mean you’re the jack of trades, and master of none. It means you possess a growth mindset and you can adapt your writing for different audiences and industries.
Even though I do prefer to work with B2B, as I love getting technical, versatility is important.
A versatile copywriter is capable of learning all kinds of products, various industries, different target markets, consumer psychology, and if a product is technical by nature, then you need to grasp complex information and convert into layman terms.
